Edmonton International Cat Festival
When: May 30th
Where: NAIT Gym
The 2nd Annual Crazy Cat Lady – er, the 2nd Annual Edmonton International Cat Festival wraps up the month with its feline moxie! If you ever wanted to attend a cat photo beauty pageant, sip coffee among cat stuffies, and watch an inordinate amount of cat videos all at once, you have found your haven, my friend. Not only that, but there will be vendors selling more cat merch than you can shake a Feather-on-a-Stick at. Celebrity kitty Pudge will be flying in from Minneapolis, too! If that’s not enough to get you out, 100% of profits, sales, and donations will go directly to the Edmonton Humane Society, Little Cats Lose, and SAFE Team Rescue. With last year raising an incredible $9,000, let’s make this one even more successful, cat enthusiasts! Click here for details!
Enjoy your May, Edmonton!
And a very Happy Mother’s Day to the most wonderful ladies in our lives!

Every single moment I hold my breath

I deny a part of my soul

Infinity inside my mortality

Begging to express until there’s nothing left

A realization made whole

And given in totality

Yet my words are restrained

Bound, aching, and doggedly alive

Needing their scribe to speak

Pulling against reluctant chains

They exist to thrive

But I’ve made them weak

Snuffed by a pompous reality

Syllables replaced by an eternal poignant pause

The roar of raging waters dammed

Stalemated in polarity

As my mind and spirit are at a loss

Burning in a fire damned

Though from that pyre there will be ash

And before I return to dust and star stuff

My immortal words will be reborn

Their voice mine at last

When I am sure enough

Transcendence is never forlorn

Well, that was my attempt at writing poetry, internet!
All in all, this is definitely something I'll give another go later.

Thanks for reading!

Take care!
